The Doerner dental legacy in Clearwater began in 1982 with Dr. James Timothy Doerner. While the practice flourished, his son, Aaron, was busy testing the limits of his own dental work. After Aaron managed to knock out his teeth for the third time, Dr. Doerner Sr. decided it was time for a lesson in responsibility: at age 15, Aaron started working at the family practice to pay for his own dental repairs.
Built on Family Tradition
What started as a teenage job in the lab and assisting chair side quickly turned into a lifelong calling and made his way to dental school. After graduating, The now Dr. Aaron Doerner returned to clearwater, and was hired by Smile-brands corporation to continue providing care at the Doerner Dental practice. As years passed he realized that to truly provide the elevated level of care his patients and staff deserved, he needed to move beyond the corporate model.
Today, Doerner Family Dental is the realization of that dream: an independent, state-of-the-art practice where 40 years of family legacy meets the absolute cutting edge of modern dentistry.
